My book selection for March was actually suggested to me by a colleague. Lea Devers is an Assistant Principal at Vickery Elementary. We were collaborating on another project and she mentioned the book. As we were talking, she shared that she would like to begin a district virtual book study group. We brainstormed ways she could go about doing so and she decided to host a study on Edmodo and then have opportunities for live discussions via Twitter. She sent out an email invitation and Visions--a Virtual Book Study Club was born.
We have a small, but mighty, group of individuals who have committed to reading and discussing the book together. QBQ is actually a very quick read and I could have easily read it in just a couple hours. The wonderful things about our book study is that it has made me slow down and really reflect on the message of the book...which is truly powerful.
